Born in Kashmir, brought up in New Delhi, Aditya Raj Kaul is a political and conflict journalist with the leading Indian broadcaster Times Now, where he has reported from the dense forests of Bastar to the war-zone of Baghdad in Iraq. Earlier as a Special Correspondent with The Sunday Indian news-weekly, he exclusively interviewed the inaccessible Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Commander of terror group Hizbul Mujahideen in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) Syed Salauddin. He has also been the India Correspondent of The Indian newspaper published from Sydney, Australia. In the past contributed for The Times of India, Indian Express, Mid Day, Daily News and Analysis (DNA), Free Press Journal, Afternoon Dispatch and Courier among others. Initiated the first-ever social media led campaign in India - Justice for Priyadarshini Mattoo in 2006 at the age of 16. Announced among the top 25 Youth Icons of the country by India Today Magazine in 2007. Similar recognition by NDTV and The Times of India. In 2011, announced as the youth achiever by the India Today.
